The first syllabus designed to embed files

Similar to other content management systems, Concourse includes the posting of files related to your course. From here you and your collaborators can share project guidelines, sample exams, PowerPoint lectures, and any other type of content you use to support your course.

However, what sets Concourse apart is the way we tightly integrate that content right into the syllabus. Once a file is uploaded to the course, it is immediately accessible from the syllabus editor and can be linked in context. That way you can associate this content directly at the place in the syllabus where you would expect to find it. Better still, file management in Concourse builds off our innovative syllabus permission design. Therefore, if you want to share your content with your students but not with those who are just previewing your course syllabus, you can do that.

So let's take an example. If you upload a file with homework problems due on your sixth day of class, not only will this file be available from the general download area, but with a single click you can link this file right to the sixth day of your syllabus schedule. Then when a student looks for what's due on this sixth day, they need only go to the syllabus (which is where they go first anyway) and there the file is. Faster, easier, and say goodbye to that "I couldn't find the file" excuse.
